Equipment. We create customized Hazmat ensembles and product
solutions to fit the unique needs of all of our customers:
from military to civilian, from prototype to training.
Athena
GTX will work directly with you to provide exactly what
you need and want, how you want it and when you want it
- everything from full patient isolation bags to protective
eyewear. And pricing is as simple and straightforward
as possible.
Athena GTX can provide the perfect blend of innovation,
superior products as well as a straightforward and honest
business approach - a refreshing combination focused on
our customer's needs.
Why Choose Athena
GTX?
The
number of self-proclaimed high-tech companies today is
simply overwhelming. It comes down to an issue of value,
i.e., what you "get" for what you "pay".
Athena GTX remains steadfast in first earning your respect
before we earn any sale.
Athena
GTX is a government certified small business that supplies
HazMat suits and protection suits and equipment and we
maintain full on-site sales and engineering teams ready
and able to address your questions, concerns, needs and
desires. We deliver not only standard off-the-shelf solutions
available from thousands of suppliers, but we will custom
design and tailor solutions to your specific needs and
budget.
We
realize that buyers enjoy procuring their goods and services
from local vendors - small businesses that they know and
trust to give them the best possible price while standing
behind their products. As a small business, we do not
have a large overhead buried in the sale price of our
products. Thus, we can not only be extremely competitive
but we are able to support our customers in research and
development and offer WMD team training. We are here to
help you understand your options and prepare you to make
an informed decision.
Athena
GTX provides unique lightweight EUROLITE™
HazMat suit technologies, patient isolation systems and
is currently developing next generation wireless medical
sensing systems and personnel state and tracking/location
wireless systems. Our hardware and software development
is done in-house. Athena GTX is currently heavily engaged
with US Navy research as well. Our goods and services
have been purchased by discerning Fire Departments and
hospitals from California to Oregon and into Arizona.
Let
us provide you with competitive price quotes and our superb
customer service.
Athena
GTX?
Athena
GTX provides a perfect blend of innovative research and
development, prototyping, product development, manufacturing,
distribution and capability to meet the rigorous demands
of this century. The company is currently involved with
developing advanced wireless medical monitoring devices
for military and civilian applications.
Athena
GTX also provides Personal Protective Equipment and supplies
to meet the needs of HazMat and First Responder personnel
in the fields of mass casualty and terrorism response.
A
dynamic team focused on the innovations of tomorrow...today.
Athena GTX serves the unique, high-tech biomedical market
of the Department of Defense (DoD) telemedicine and life
support research and development. Some of our teammates
have over 25 years of experience in these high-tech environments.
These services are characteristically innovative new solutions
and prototype specialty products and they require highly
motivated and creative employees to maintain performance
and gain success.
The
business model was created to leverage and build upon
past and current extensively funded United States Government
research and development in the areas of biosensors, medical
triage and medical state monitoring, historical experience
with military life support and nuclear/biological/chemical
defense, commercialization of military products/services
and tri-service applications.
In 2003 our diverse research and development activities
were re-organized internally to improve our overall focus
on an independent approach greatly increasing the speed
and efficiency of technical prototyping. After three years
of existence and function in this niche market, the lessons
learned and the presumption that the company could continue
and prosper to an even greater level as our independence
grew, led to a move to incorporate and begin the process
of greater independence. It also meant more value for
our customers and a direct line to what made us strong...our
people.
Our primary business focus is protective equipment distribution
to the first responder, medical triage research and development
products, advanced life support systems, wireless communications
and broad IT applications and biomedical sensing programs
for the military. Our consistent growth in the last few
years has produced a 300% increase in revenues and/or
personnel since our inception. The major focus of the
markets we target are the US Navy Trauma Training Center
(NTTC), the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC), Bethesda
Medical Center Navy Hospital, Patuxent River Naval Air
Warfare Center (NAWC), Walter Reed Army Medical Center
and numerous progressive Fire Departments, HazMat and
tactical units.
The
events of September 11, 2001 changed the world forever.
The influx of state and federal funding for first responder
preparedness has grown in the last few years as has the
number of suppliers offering products. Athena GTX will
continue its focus of winning customers on an informed
and educated basis. We do not seek to compete with high-volume
distributors into volume commodity markets. Our wish is
that our customers understand their options and we fulfill
their needs.
In
February 2008, Corporate President and CEO of Athena GTX,
Dr. Mark Darrah, announced plans to expand the company's
regional offices in order to meet the needs of their customers
and programs. Originally based in Rancho Cucamonga, CA
the company now has offices not only in California but
also San Antonio, Texas and a corporate office in Des
Moines, Iowa.
"It
is clear that these expansion plans are in line with the
needs of our military cutomers as well as the civilian
markets and the technology explosion we see in the industry",
stated Dr. Darrah. "We are excited about the future
and the potential to bring high-tech jobs into both Iowa
and Texas as part of these efforts."
Athena GTX is currently involved with developing advanced
wireless medical monitoring devices for military and civilian
applications. The company will expand the development
of their WiMedTM program, a completely wireless mobile
smart medical monitoring system with the State for Iowa
for the U.S. Army. The office in Des Moines, Iowa will
further develop this capability and begin local testing
leading to clinical trials. The Texas activity is centered
around the Emerging Technology Fund (ETF) program with
Athena GTX as the prime contractor to the National Trauma
Institute (NTI). This program is developing, integrating
and testing a new wireless vital signs monitor in severe
trauma in three Texas trauma centers beginning in February
2009. Currently, all First Responder PPE sales and marketing
efforts will remain in California serving the West Coast
clients with expansion plans for the South and Midwest
regions in 2009.
